If you enjoy dancing and are searching for an exercise routine with lots of energy, Hip Hop Abs is definitely the program for you. In order to get more toned, you have to lose overall fat (so it's not like targeting the one area will necessarily get you ripped, until you have less body fat in general). If you're looking to tone up your abs, obliques, and get rid of love handles, I would probably focus more on one of Shaun's more intense workouts, like Focus T25 or Asylum (I LOVED Asylum, way more than Insanity by the way). I usually just do it when I'm bored and want to "groove" a bit (or just feeling lazy, because I don't want to die working out that day.), as opposed to doing the program to get me more ripped (I don't really think of Hip Hop Abs as necessarily ripping my abs.). Although Hip Hop Abs is fun, it's definitely not at the same intensity as Insanity. I'm a bit of a Shaun T junkie and I've done Hip Hop Abs, Rockin' Body, Insanity, Asylum, and am currently doing Focus T25.
